This walk in closet layout is perfect if you have shoes to store aswell.
Similar to closet layout 2, this layout gives you plenty of double hanging space for short hanging garments and some space for long hanging garments along the back wall. It also gives you a drawer system for your underwear etc, a shelf stack for your folded garments and four shoe racks! What more could you ask for?!
All shelving used is our 30.5cm/12" deep SuperSlide system.
This layout utilises three walls to fix to; two side walls and the rear wall of the room or enclosure. Ordinarily there will be a fourth/front wall (which has been made transparent in the picture for viewing purposes), but sometimes the room/enclosure configuration means that there may not be a front wall at all or there may only be part of a wall. We want to make sure that we send you the correct components so that you can install your walk in closet properly, so, please make sure that you select the correct option below about the configuration of the fourth/front wall as viewed from the outside working left to right.
If you like the look of this layout, you must have a room height of at least 216cm/85" to allow for a long enough drop for your garments.
Our shelving is adjustable for those who may not have a 2.44m/8' square room. As the shelving is made from steel wire it can be cut with a pair of boltcutters (available at £12.99) or a hacksaw. Our hanging rails can also be cut with a hacksaw so that you can make sure the closet fits nicely into your space, helping you make the most of your new walk in closet!
In a 2.44m / 8' square enclosure this layout will give you a 183cm/72" wide top tier of two tier hanging space on either side wall which will join up to a corner hanger bar allowing the garments to move around the corner without interruption. You will also have a 244cm/96" wide lower tier for short garments on either side wall. Across the back wall you will have a 35cm/14" wide long hanging space either side of the shelf stack with two 91cm/36" wide shoe shelves under each long hanging section. The central shelf stack is made up of four 61cm/24" wide shelves for storing flat and folded items and has a freestanding drawer system below. This drawer system is 48cm/19" wide, 58cm/23" deep and 76cm/30" high and includes two 18cm/7" high drawers, one 28cm/11" high drawer, floor protector caps, drawer stops and a white plastic moulded top.
